Rose is a beloved star of stage, screen, TV and cabaret has moved audiences to tears and to laughter for close to 40 years. Her vast body of work has earned her numerous awards, including three Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts Degrees, a Lucille Lortel Playwriting Award, a Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts, a Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival Producer’s Circle Award and induction into the R.I. Heritage Harbor Hall Of Fame.

Drawing from years of experience in concerts, clubs, stage and screen (big and small), Rose has a way of delivering a song in a way that conveys the emotion and power that many singers admire. Her training in jazz, blues, musical theatre and other vocal styles provides a rich fabric of music that can make any occasion unforgettable.

As a motivational speaker,  Rose draws upon her turbulent early years growing up in Georgia in the 1950s and 1960s and her 40 years as an actress, singer and performer. She is also a gifted playwright authoring Black Women Taking Off The Masks, Menopause Mama, Mama’s Little Helper & Chips on My Shoulder (in Monologues for Women by Women), Silhouette of a Silhouette, Well Water Blues, Skips in The Record, the New England Emmy Nominated Another Christmas Miracle for WJAR-NBC-TV 10, and a new Christmas song, One Wish for Christmas is in the oven.
